The Reserve Rockets Blasts the Warriors
The Warriors headed into the so-called "Octagon" last night, a stretch of eight key games against Western Conference powers, and suffered a difficult 109-106 to the Houston Rockets. The biggest factor in the game was the Houston bench which produced 33 points from Bobby Jackson and Carl Landry, while the Warriors received only 6 points from their own bench, courtesy of Andris Biedrins. Trailing by 8 with three minutes left, the Warriors surged back to tie the game, but Bobby Jackson hit one of his 5 three-pointers and the Rockets never looked back. The Dubs were led by Baron Davis' 27 points and Monta Ellis' 26.
Next up is a home and home set with the Los Angeles Lakers. The loss couple with a Denver win cuts the Warriors hold on the eighth and final playoff seed to 1.5 games with 14 left to play.
