Warriors Cruise Past The Clippers 116-100
When Kosta Perovic and Marco Bellinelli get the opportunity to make a rare floor appearance, you can assume the game is well in hand, for either the good or bad. Fortunately for the Warriors, this time the duo made a brief appearance in a rare blowout win at the Staples Center over the injury-plagued Los Angeles Clippers. The Dubs took it to their depleted foes early and often, and gave them no chance to effectively compete. Coming off a disappointing loss in Sacramento, the Warriors were paced by Stephen Jackson's 29 points, and Monta Ellis' 28. Baron Davis was able to take some well-earned bench time, after playing only 27 minutes, which also has been quite rare this season.
Even better was the fact that Denver loss in Allen Iverson's return to Philadelphia, which allowed the Dubs to stretch their advantage to 2.5 games with 15 games remaining. Now, comes the most challenging stretch of their schedule, which starts with a home matchup with the suddenly struggling Houston Rockets. The Warriors are in control of their own destiny, and now it will be interesting to see if they can seize the opportunity to return to the playoffs.
