Warriors Rebound To Trounce The Mavs

by Anthony on March 31 at 2:15PM | comments (0)

Coming off one of the most disappointing losses to the season in Denver, the Warriors found themselves in 9th place in the Western Conference playoff race. However, the Warriors have been nothing, if not resilient this season and they called upon that mental toughness to rebound for a key 114-104 win over the reeling Dallas Mavericks and force a three-way tie for 7th in the standings, with Dallas and Denver. Now its a nine-game sprint to the finish that only two teams will survive.

In this game, the Dubs were led by Monta Ellis' 30 points. At this point of the season with players beginning to wear down, Monta was just too much to handle and his fresh legs carried the team to an important win. Baron Davis added 21 points, and Andris Biedrins had 16 points and 14 boards in a balanced attack. Dallas received 36 points in a tremendous effort from Josh Howard, but were hurt by the absence of Dirk Nowitzki, who continues to be sidelined with an injured knee. The loss drops the Mavs to an 0-10 mark against teams with winning records since the addition of Jason Kidd.

Without a doubt, the next two weeks promises to be an exciting battle!
